RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to medical/surgical patients
• Apply scientific nursing principles in patient care delivery
• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans
• Prepare and administer medications orally, subcutaneously, and through IV routes
• Record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions according to policy
• Educate patients on surgical procedures and post-treatment home care needs
• Monitor and record patients' medical information and vital signs
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment and interpret electronic displays
• Provide bedside care for medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments
• Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol
• Participate in discharge planning and utilize effective time management skills
• May be responsible for caring for pediatric/adolescent patients occasionally
• May need to float between Lander and Riverton campus locations depending on facility census
• Must have Wyoming RN or multi-state RN license
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS through American Heart Association
• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg RN experience in hospital setting required
• Must complete all documentation concisely, accurately, and in a timely manner
